RAWMATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM, SSAB LULEÅ (1999)

Building of a new plant for the Raw Material Handling to the new Blast Furnace 3, at SSAB, Luleå.

Luleå Industrimontage AB had, in cooperation with Binder & Co AG, Austria, the contract to manufacture and erect equipment for the new Raw Material Handling System.

Luleå Industrimontage AB was responsible for:

• Manufacture and erection of steel to belt conveyour platforms and gratings.
• Manufacture and erection of chutes and hoppers.
• Manufacture of idler supports and reel stands.
• Erection of rollers, belt conveyour, drivestations aso.
• Delivery and erection of sheeting to belt conveyours and buildings.

During the construction period, 7 months, 50 people were employeed. Roughly 2000 tons of material was erected.
