Reparing of Cowper
22 and 23 at the new Blast Furnace 3, SSAB Luleå, year 1999/2000.
Luleå Industrimontage AB and Gothia Mineralteknik AB, in cooperation with VAI UK
Ltd, had the contract to make the technical design, mechanical reparation and
rebricking of Cowper 22 och 23.
During the construction period, 7 months for each Cowper, 35 people were
employeed.
50 tons of steel was erected and 800 tons bricks were layed.
The reparing of Cowper 23 was going on at the same time as the new Blast Furnace
3 was built.
